Skeleton soldier couldn't protect the dungeon is a quite a polarising series. Some people hate while other love it. Personally i belong to the latter. If i were to describe in simple terms it would just be "everything i have ever wanted". Just a couple sentences ago i said some people really dislike this series, for those people i have just one thing to say "just shut up!". That's right im dying on this hill. I would say that public opinion is ussually close to correct on these kind of things but sometimes i just can't wrap my mind around it. For me another example of this is the series dungeon majesty. I woulnd't say that series come close to this one but the overwhelming negativity is just toxic. I often question myself how many people actually read more than one chapter before writing their manifesto. Reply · Mar 26, 2023

Very average story with many moments that had me roll my eyes. Art is not bad, characters are not very memorable. Has a lot of weird stuff. Like bearded guy who trying to be a lady?? Overall I would not recommend it. Reply · Mar 09, 2023

This is manhwa one of the best in my entire life. Plot is good, mysteries make you intrigued and most of the characters are quite decent. But there's one problem - main character. When one of his companions calls him stupid every chapter for about 150 chapters - I will put my signature after each time. He's plain stupid and exist as main weak point of this manhwa. I guess, whole idea is to narrow his understanding and knowledge of the world to level of the reader, but reader has to obtain serious mental disability to descend to mc's level of thinking. But he's not only cognitively weak, mc is too passive - most of the time he's dragged by someone and doesn't make any decisions. All of his ressurections he's just picking which train to ride (tell someone powerful what happened in previous lives and ask for help) and then follows instructions. That won't be a problem, if mc will progress and develop, successively taking more and more responsibility in crucial decisions, but he remains the same all the time and sometimes, out of nowhere, provide non-violent solution for the situation, but this happened 3-4 times at most throughout 200+ chapters. Im a sucker for fantasy manwhas/mangas: Starting from scratch to venture out into a completely new world, learning more with each page, to slowly create a thicker and thicker plot. This manwha does this extremly well; If you enjoyed Re:Zero, I'd say give this manwha a go, its less dreadful and disparring, but overall does very well with revealing ever so more about the story while still having many mysteries unsolved. Read it. The Skeleton Soldier Failed to Defend the Dungeon is not only fantastic, but it is also one of the best manhwas. This is just my conjecture but I can't find any faults. I've read hundreds of Korean webtoons as well as an overwhelming number of mangas and most of them suffer from bloat. Surprisingly, after nearly 200 chapters, I wasn't worn out, driven to madness by the tedium of repetitiveness. Rather it felt fresh, I was discovering new secrets that once again shook the foundation of the story to its very core. Not only is how the author depicts reincarnation imaginative and original it leads to so many interesting encounters. The creator must've put so much care into making this story, elements from the beginning become important a hundred chapters later. This is a must-read for anyone remotely interested in webcomics. I can't wait to finish it. Reply · Jun 05, 2022

For sure my favorite action manhwa so far. I like it better than Solo Leveling. The art is great and the story so far has not gotten old and keeps you reading chapter after chapter. This is how RE: Zero should have been done. I highly recommend checking it out and hopefully it gets picked up for an anime one day. Reply · May 12, 2022

I reallllly like this one. I know pacing can be an issue with how slow it can be and art can be kind of lazy a lot of times but i love the world created here and how much is still to uncover about it. The pacing might be slow but i love that our protaginst isn't freaking solo leveling character and after 100 chapters there are still lots and lots of people which can totally destroy him. Skeleton maybe isn't really that intersting but its hard to not like him at least for me because he is such a good guy and is its hard to not cheer him on at least for me. Other mostly female characters is also good they might seem like some weak ladies but the longer the story goes they try to better themselves and be more useful to our protagonist. Lastly there is the crow which i adore him with skelly are such a freaking great duo i love their adventures when they are together. Really recommend this one i feel like it really doesn't get enough recognition with how good it is. Reply · Dec 08, 2021

This Manhua is good hands down...won't break it down because it will involve spoilers, HOWEVER, it starts to slip after reaching Chapter 100...usually MC goes off on his own to get stronger and such however past 100 he is carrying a burden (won't reveal too much). So I skipped like 10-20 chapters but still the same boring talk and damsel in distress BS...so yeah. Reply · Sep 27, 2021

It is much better than solo levelling. It is among the top isekai for me, and it only gets better with chapters. The latest villain, priest of boris, comes in ch 140s, and he is my favorite villain. It shows the story is only getting better. And it gives the best comedic character also, a crow.... The art design of crow is really great. Do give it a try. Reply · Aug 24, 2021

This title started off different and i was enjoying it..from the no name MC to the way he was able to learn through his mistakes but this story take toooooooo long to make you love it..the MC which is a skeleton that was a regular skeleton Solider in a dungeon protecting his lady necromancer up until he failed respawns everytime he is killed at a "save point" as you would say and he uses his failures as knowledge on not to make different choices...the story loses you after this failure keeps happening and the story goes from "somewhat interesting" to "typical blah"...there aren't any real meat and potatoes at the point I stopped reading and I was halfway through chapter wise..just don't waste your time and go read solo leveling lol Reply · Jan 12, 2021

No spoilers. A simple skeleton fails to save his original gardian, and because of this he ends up groundhog-daying (see Groundhog Day (movie with Bill Murray)). Through dying and reviving he gains power and experience. There are some funy moments too where the joke is that the mc is a skeleton, I laughed aloud. Reply · Aug 08, 2020
